Strength Train to Boost Mood!

By July 7, 2023No Comments

Can we talk about the REAL reason a lot of long-time exercisers stick with their routines for years that has NOTHING to do with weight loss?

This is the result of a non-scientific poll I conducted a while back. But real research backs it up!

OK … so here’s what happened.

I asked a bunch of people who had a regular workout routine WHY they exercised.

A lot of these people were in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond, and most of them had been working out for decades.

Their answer: The mood & mental health benefits!

Like I said earlier, there is actual research to back that up.

The thing is, we usually associate cardio with lifting your spirits, but it turns out strength training is also a major mood and mental health booster.

Studies show that strength training can help you with:

  • Less anxiety
  • Lower depression
  • Sharper thinking
  • Better memory
  • More energy and less chronic fatigue
  • Better sleep
  • More confidence and self-esteem
  • Plus an even longer list of physical health benefits

Pretty amazing list, right?

Still, if you’ve never tried strength training before, getting started can seem a little intimidating.

That’s why at MaxStrength Fitness we sit down on the first visit and discuss where you’re currently at with your fitness.

Then we meet you where you’re at and take it at your pace to accomplish the goals we establish.

It’s the perfect way to reverse the aging process in only minutes a week without breaking a sweat.
I’ll be back next week with more, so give this video a like if you’re on social and follow me for the next one!
