Focus Is Your Superpower

Today’s video, we’re still focusing on our last P, which is purpose. So, we’re going to hear from a couple trainers here at Strongsville. We’ll give you some tips on focus, give you their purpose, and you already saw one of my purposes, my son, Jacob.

I also really want to touch base on our focus on the machine. Purpose and focus can kind of go hand in hand. You want to think of getting the most out of your exercise. The efficiency part of our strength training—focus has a lot to do with that.

A couple of really easy things that we can do to keep our focus: simply keep your cell phone in a locker. Keep any personal belongings that might distract you during your 20-minute session out of this room and in a locker. Also, try to keep your talking to a minimum, at most maybe in between machines.

But when we’re on a machine, we should really zero in and focus on our intention of fatiguing our muscles. Simply, when we’re on a machine and your trainer is pushing you to your fullest potential, think about your purpose in the back of your mind, but most importantly, keep your focus. That will help you get tremendous results in a fraction of the time spent training in the gym.
