The man in this picture doesn’t know that there’s a snake underneath him. The woman doesn’t know that there’s a stone crushing the man. The woman thinks, “I’m going to fall, and I can’t climb because the snake is going to bite me. Why can’t the man use a little bit more strength than just pull me up?” Well, the man thinks, “I’m in so much pain, yet I’m still pulling as much as I can. Why don’t you try to climb a little bit harder?” Look, the moral of the story is here, you can’t see the pressure that the other person is under. The other person can’t see the pain that you’re in.
This is life. Whether it’s work or family or feelings or friends, we should just try to understand each other at the end of the day. Look, we need to think differently. We need perhaps a little bit more clearly on our communication. A little thought and patience go a long way. At the end of the day, let’s just be kind to each other. Everyone we meet is fighting their own battle, and we have no idea what that is on the back end. Let’s take some time to stop, listen, learn, and put ourselves in someone else’s shoes before we cast our opinion of them.
